A LITTLE ABOUT ME

With over 25 years of experience constructing and designing interlocking stone steps, driveways, walls, patios, and pretty much anything made of interlock, I'm on my own! From this point on I'll be doing all the technical and intricate work myself, including but not limited to the grading, cutting, designing, and laying. This way you receive the highest quality work as possible, and why I can guarantee my work longer than anybody in town! With Johnny Bricks you get an expert doing all the fine details which translates into a higher quality and a better-looking job! Over the years many have called my work "overkill", but it's straighter, stronger, and lasts longer!
Why does my work last so long?
Stronger Foundations
1. I dig deeper at 12"-20" and 6" wider on all sides for extra integrity and underlay everything with Geosythetics® Greenline landscape fabric. I even use Greenline behind my steps and walls for extra durability and added support!
2. I take the extra time and meticulously pack everything with the most efficient equipment available. Plate packers just do not pack GA/GM to ample densities. They merely vibrate things into place and do little more than make aggregates smooth! This is why I use a rammer for packing and a plate packer for finishing. Anybody that tells you a 300 lb plate packer is "good enough", is giving you just that. You will have a harder time hammering a spike into my compacted grade than you would one vibrated with a 2200 lb. diesel plate!
3. I use minimal dust and maximum GM/GA for a better base and maximum compaction rating.

4. I personally take the time to grade everything. Over the years I've graded thousands of driveways and steps. Day in and day out I have been making stone straight and level.
5. I personally lay and cut every brick myself.
6. I glue every block, not just the coping!
